Chocolate nut biscuits

Richly filled biscuit bars with nuts, chocolate chunks and butter crumbs. Such a treat!

Ingredients

Base:

1.000 gr Damco croûte powder
450 gr Butter
100 gr Water

Butter crumbs:

1.000 gr All-purpose flour
500 gr Damco custard powder top R
1.000 gr Butter
800 gr Caster sugar

Filling:

1.000 gr Mixed nuts
1.000 gr Bake stable chocolate chunks

Instructions for the base:

  1. Pour all ingredients into the machine and mix with a dough hook until smooth.
  2. Once the dough has been formed, stop the machine and allow the dough to rest for at least 12 hours.

Instructions for the butter crumbs:

  1. Pour all the ingredients into the machine and mix into a crumble dough. 

Putting it all together:

  1. Roll the cooled base dough to a thickness of 2 mm and place on 2 baking trays of 60 x 20 x 5 cm lined with baking paper.
  2. Mix the butter crumbs, Mixed nuts and chocolate chunks.
  3. Pour this mixture onto the base dough and spread out evenly. Apply a little pressure and bake.
  4. Cut 9 x 4 cm biscuits after the trays have cooled completely.
