Candied fruit holds a special place in the vast range of Royal Steensma’s bakery ingredients.
Our plant in Franeker is one of the most advanced production sites of candied fruits in the world. Therefor it makes sense for us to continue innovating within this product segment.

One of these innovations is Cherry Mellons; little pieces of soft melon, infused with the pure juice of sour cherries.
Cherry Mellons is available as a candied or dried version. The candied version is bake and freeze stable and suitable to use in breads and cakes.
De dried version is also free flowing (besides bake and freeze stable) and perfect to use in chocolate and other confectionary products or breakfast cereals.
