In different regions of the world, the COVID-19 (coronavirus) has been identified.
All authorities of the affected regions are investigating the virus and the source of the infections. They are taking preventive measurements to prevent spreading of the virus.

On 30 January 2020, the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared that the outbreak of 2019-nCoV constitutes a PHEIC, a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.

The virus can be transmitted from person/animal to person. The virus cannot survive well outside the body. The outgrowth of the virus on cardboard and other packaging material is excluded. Other Corona viruses do not spread in this way. According to RIVM (National Institute for Public Health in The Netherlands), there is no reason to assume that this is different to this new Corona virus.
